In the 21st century, Korea has faced a wide variety of economic problems such as economic crisis, aging population, unemployment, energy crisis, environmental pollution, etc. This led to heightened uncertainties of the future and increased demand for future strides and prediction. KAIST Master's Program in Future Strategy was established to search for new ways to keep up with the evolutions over time and cope with national challenges in order to improve national competitiveness. Furthermore, the KAIST Award of Future Strategy has been bestowed since 2013 to spread awareness of the gravity of future strategy, a key element of national competitiveness. The KAIST Award of Future Strategy has been presented to an individual or an organization who have established future research and strategies to contribute to strengthening national competitiveness. This is done through the application of future studies to other fields such as science and technology, economic industry, environmental resources, social culture, and political systems. We are currently accepting applications or nominations for the 2022 Future Strategy Award.
